Pants & skirts
Measure your waist at the true waist (not where your modern pants fall). This is the smallest measurement
between your ribs and your hips - it may be a couple inches above the belly button. Decide how much "ease" you
want in your pants or skirt. If you like to wear your clothes on the tighter side, typical ease might be right around ¼ to ½".
If you will be doing arials, you might want to allow a little more ease, at around 1". Add your waist measurement and
the ease to get the actual garment waist measurement.
Example:
My waist = 27"
I like it really fitted, so ease = ¼"
Total = 27" + ¼" = 27 ¼" Therefore, I order a size S.
